School Lunch Hero Day is celebrated annually on the first Friday in May—May 1, 2026—to honor school nutrition personnel who prepare healthy meals while balancing, safety, nutrition standards, and student allergies.
Today, we are saluting the superheroes in our cafeterias @ Van Vleck ISD: our amazing Director of Child Nutrition, Amanda Bottke, and the entire Food Service department!
Every single day, these dedicated staff members go above and beyond to deliver smiles and nourish our students from the inside out. By fueling our Leopards with healthy meals, they ensure every child is ready to learn and grow their best. 🧠✨
