VVE Families,

Thank you for a great week of learning, growing, and Rising UP at VVE. We loved seeing our students begin to settle into their routines and start working alongside of their teacher to continue building their foundation of learning. Students spent time learning and practicing our PROUD procedures. We know that great things are ahead for the 2026-2027 school year. Thank you for being a partner with us and ensuring they were on campus every day.

VVE WEEKLY NEWSLETTER- AUGUST 24th-28th

Attendance Helps Your Student Rise UP!

Each day that your student is on campus from 7:50-3:40, you have provided them with the opportunity to grow to reach their full potential. Each absence affects a students attendance percentage.
Once a student's attendance falls below 90%, they are coded At-Risk and time must be earned back by staying after school. Please ensure if your student is out due to sickness or family emergency, a note is sent to Mrs. Shelton for documentation. Although doctor's notes are excused, the absence does still count against the student's percentage.
Additionally, we are documenting each early check out. Once a student reaches 4 early check outs in a 6 weeks, they will have to stay after school to make up the time in the subject that they missed. This is to support your student in not missing any expected materials.

As a reminder, each week that the campus reaches 97%, we will be allowing students to wear hats to campus that Friday.

Van Vleck Elementary School celebrates 96% weekly attendance from August 17th-21st.Van Vleck Elementary School celebrates Gonzales Trobl's perfect attendance all week long.

Have a great week, VVE Families!
